June 15 @ 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Join us on June 15, 2024, for our second annual Luau dinner and show, which will benefit the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund.
Traditional Hawaiian Luau and Dinner Show
This traditional Hawaiian Luau will begin with a time honored lei greeting with live ukulele music. Enjoy Mai Tai wine slushies (and other beverages) on the patio. The evening will feature a Hawaiian themed dinner and two shows on the lawn, a hula show at sunset and fire dancing later in the evening. We will also be holding a silent auction and raffle. Profits from the event will benefit the Barry Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund.
Hula Carolina will be performing the hula and fire shows. This professional dance company brings the idyllic Hawaiian islands to you, giving you the experience of a lifetime. The intense Fire Show, exquisite Hula Dancers and lively Luau Party will demonstrate Hula Carolina’s deep gratitude for the Hawaiian culture as they pass the traditions on by way of song and dance. We invite you to learn a hula, spin the poi balls of New Zealand and dance to the live drums of Tahiti while enjoying the shows.
Hawaiian Dinner and Drinks
The dinner event will be held in the Pavilion building and will feature a Hawaiian themed buffet curated by LipSmakers catering. Upgraded this year, the menu includes Hawaiian Pulled Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, Hawaiian roasted vegetable skewers, Hawaiian luau rice, Hawaiian Cole Slaw, Pineapple Upside Down Cake Cups, Coconut Cake with Rum Grenadine Sauce, Mai Tai’s (non-alcoholic), Pineapple Lemonade, and Pineapple infused water. The Gioia dell’Amore Tiki Bar will include Wine, Beer, Mai Tai Wine Slushies (alcoholic), and Pina Colada Wine Slushies.
Benefiting the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund
The $95 ticket includes the lei greeting, two drinks, dinner, both shows, the silent auction and most importantly supports a wonderful cause! The Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund is local people helping local people. This fund was created to provide financial resources to cancer victims in need, right here in our community. Their services cover cancer patients’ pharmacy bills, utilities, auto, gas and food expenses, allowing patients to focus on the challenge of beating cancer: https://bljcancerfund.org/.
Gioia dell’Amore Cellars’ owners, David and Laura, are honored to host this fundraising event as the perfect pairing to their founding story. The birth of Gioia dell’Amore Cellars began with Laura’s sister, Julie, who had a vision for the two couples to start a winery. Unfortunately, Julie lost her battle with ovarian cancer before the dream could be realized. David and Laura purchased the vineyard in September 2021 to carry out the dream they envisioned with Julie and her husband, Dave.
We hope you will join us to support local cancer patients in our community and to Scatter Joy with your friends and family at this unique event on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
