Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs take the vineyard stage from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, bringing their wonderfully hard-to-define brand of folk(ish) music to Gioia. This Winston-Salem husband-and-wife duo, Zack and Kendra Harding, blend Appalachian roots with cosmic grooves, weaving banjo, guitar, and lush harmonies into a sound that is equal parts heartfelt, quirky, and completely their own.

Formed in 2016, the Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs have taken their music from front porches to festival stages across the United States and abroad, including a recent tour through the UK and Ireland. Their laid-back charm and genre-bending sound make them the kind of musicians you’ll want to settle in and listen to for a while. And honestly, if Jerry Garcia and Tom Waits somehow found themselves making mountain music together, this might be what happened. 😉

From 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Send It Sammies will be serving up artisan sandwiches inspired by the mountain biking community that helped shape their story. Based in Greensboro, this creative food truck was born from owner Joel’s leap from corporate life into the world of food trucks, inspired by his love of mountain biking, adventure, and community.

The tasting room will be open from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, with handcrafted Gioia wines and local craft beer available throughout the afternoon. Grab a glass, find a spot with a vineyard view, and enjoy an afternoon that feels just a little different from your average Sunday.

The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs are a folk(ish) fusion of tradition and psychedelia—where Appalachian roots meet cosmic grooves. If Jerry Garcia and Tom Waits ever decided to form a mountain duo, it might sound something like Zack and Kendra Harding. Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, this talented husband-and-wife team weaves banjo, guitar, and lush harmonies into an eclectic sound they lovingly call folk(ish). Since forming in 2016, they’ve carried their music from front porches to festival stages across the U.S. and abroad, including a recent tour through the UK and Ireland. With their laid-back charm and genre-bending sound, the Bugs bring an unforgettable blend of heart, humor, and a touch of mountain magic to every performance.

Send It Sammies: is a mountain-bike-inspired sandwich food truck serving up artisan creations born straight from the trails of Greensboro, NC. Owner Joel jokes that when a coworker first suggested mountain biking, he laughed it off — “Bikes are for kids and Tour de France folks,” he thought. One ride proved him wrong. It wasn’t just the rush of speed or that little jolt of fear on a tight turn; it was the style, the people, and the community. Mountain biking helped him get healthier, discover some of the most beautiful places in America, and ultimately inspired a leap of faith: trading his corporate job for life on the food truck.
