Join us for a sip of vino and live music at our Black Friday Escape event on Friday, November 29th from 2:00 to 5:00.

What to Expect

Escape the confines of the house and the noise of the shopping crowds on Black Friday. Walter Burmer will be playing live acoustic pop rock from 2:00 to 5:00 in the tasting room for this special Friday free concert. His lineup is dominated by the lesser-known works of John Mayer, the Dave Matthews Band, Tom Petty, and the Grateful Dead, along with original compositions, like “Crowns,” which streams on Spotify.

Shop local (less crowded) stores in the surrounding towns of Madison, Mayodan, Stoneville and Eden and then join us to take a load off in the afternoon. We will be pairing Walter’s jams with our award winning wines in the tasting room.

Not too exhausted to keep shopping? Take your vino on a short walk in the backroom and shop our local artists!

About Your Hosts

Walter Burmer is a musician form Westchester, Massachusetts. Burmer first picked up a guitar at about 10 years old and remembers exactly why he did. “My father had just introduced me to Black Sabbath, and I was with a family friend who was a little older than me, and she started playing ‘Iron Man’ on the guitar,” he recalls. “I didn’t know that someone could do what I heard on the radio.”

Gioia dell’Amore Cellars (pronounced: “Joy-A” – “dell” – “Ah more ay”) I a winery and vineyard located in Mayodan, NC. Our Italian name means “Joy of Love”.  We are a 96-acre vineyard, winery, wedding venue, and cabin rental facility nestled in the rolling hills of Rockingham County among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards. Born out of the owners’ love of family and wine, Gioia dell’Amore Cellars endeavors to share these passions in its romantic, rustic country setting where it aims to “Scatter Joy!” to its community and customers.
