Our free Sunday concert on May 19th will be Eddie Carter Live Fire Chiefs Grill.

What to Expect

We will have live music at the winery with Eddie Carter performing in the tasting room from 2:00 until 5:00. Eddie will treat us to Americana music (also known as American Roots music) in the tasting room. This amalgam of American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States has something to get everyone up and dancing to a great mix of blues, jazz, rock and gospel.

This will be the inaugural visit of Fire Chiefs Grill. Based in Pinnacle, North Carolina, this firefighter husband and wife team are grilling up hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken and creating great sandwiches for your dining pleasure!

Of course we will be serving up the vino and beer to make your day complete. We are currently featuring local beers including Red Oak Amber, Oskar Blues Old Chub Scottish Ale and Pernicious IPA. We also have the classic beers as well as our selection of wines. Oh, and let’s not forget the wine slushies!

About Your Hosts

Eddie Carter is a musician/singer-songwriter and a pastor. He studied at Piedmont International University (Carolina University) where he received his Master’s of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2018. Eddie plays a wide variety of cover music along with his original work. His latest album is “The Sky is Full of Stars” which you can preview here.

Fire Chiefs Grill is Owned and Operated by a husband and wife team that are volunteer firefighters/EMTs along with their daughter. We have been volunteers for 21 years and David has been fire chief for 15+ years. We have always wanted to open a restaurant. After several years we have finally opened what is now called Fire Chiefs Grill Mobile Food Trailer and we wanted it affordable so everyone can eat. 

Gioia dell’Amore Cellars (pronounced: “Joy-A” – “dell” – “Ah more ay”). Our Italian name means “Joy of Love”.  We are a 96-acre vineyard, winery, wedding venue, and cabin rental facility nestled in the rolling hills of Rockingham County among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards. Born out of the owners’ love of family and wine, Gioia dell’Amore Cellars endeavors to share these passions in its romantic, rustic country setting where it aims to “Scatter Joy!” to its community and customers.
