Lu’au Dinner and Show benefiting the Barry Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund

  This traditional Hawaiian Luau will begin with a traditional lei greeting with live ukulele music. Enjoy Mai Tai wine slushies (and other beverages) on the patio. The evening will feature a Hawaiian themed dinner and two shows on the lawn, a hula show at sunset and fire dancing later in the evening. We will also be holding a silent auction and all profits from the event will support the Barry Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund. The show will be performed by Hula Carolina who brings the idyllic Hawaiian islands to you, giving you the experience of a lifetime. The intense Fire Show, exquisite Hula Dancers and lively Luau Party will demonstrate Hula Carolina’s deep gratitude for the Hawaiian culture as they strive to pass the traditions on by way of song and dance. See what to expect that evening by watching this video on our home page. During the shows we invite you to learn a hula, spin the poi balls of New Zealand and dance to the live drums of Tahiti. You will love moving around with the Hula Dancers. It is something quite fun for everyone to let loose and try! The $85 ticket (early bird rate of $75 each by March 31st) includes the lei greeting, two drinks, dinner, both shows, the silent auction and most importantly supports a wonderful cause! The Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Support Fund is local people helping local people. This fund was created to provide financial resources to cancer victims in need and help and covers pharmacy bills, utilities, auto, gas and food expenses, so patients can focus on the challenge of beating cancer: https://bljcancerfund.org/. Gioia dell’Amore Cellars’ owners, David and Laura, are honored to be hosting this fundraising event as it is the perfect pairing to their founding story. The birth of Gioia dell’Amore Cellars began with Laura’s sister, Julie, who had a vision for the two couples to start a winery. Unfortunately, Julie lost her battle with ovarian cancer before the dream could be realized. David and Laura purchased the vineyard in September 2021 to carry out the dream they envisioned with Julie and her husband, Dave. We hope you will join us to support local cancer patients in our community and to Scatter Joy with your friends and family at this unique event on April 29th from 5:00 to 10:00.
