Troy Frobeen and La Monona

Our October 6th free concert series will feature Troy Frobeen live music and Colombian food from La Monona.

What to Expect

Troy Frobeen will be strumming up alternative soul tunes in the tasting room beginning at 2:00 until 5:00 pm. Troy is a powerful vocalist who plays great covers as well as his own original music. He is a local native, born and raised in Rockingham County. He was also a golden ticket contestant on American Idol this year. Let’s all support Troy as he gains national notoriety!

Also, you are invited to put some south in your mouth! We have paired Troy with a new food truck, La Monona. They will be serving up authentic Colombian empanadas, arepas and good ole’ hot dogs. You can view the full menu here. Yes, they do have vegetarian options.

Speaking of pairing, Gioia dell’Amore’s award winning wines will be available for purchase. We will also have beer and slushies available during the event.

About Your Hosts

Troy Frobeen is a local musician who was born and raised in Madison, NC. Troy graduated from high school at our own Dalton McMichael High School in Rockingham County where he played football. Troy’s music has been described as alternative soul.

La Monona is a family food truck that was started form the idea of sharing the Colombian Culture through food and its diversity to be mixed with different types of flavors. We believe that food has the power to bring people together. That’s why we are dedicated to being an active and engaged member of our community. We participate in local events and festivals, and we are always looking for ways to give back to the community that has supported us.

Blooming Board is a charcuterie cocktail lounge and boutique located in High Point, North Carolina. They were voted 2023 High Point’s small business of the year.

Gioia dell’Amore Cellars (pronounced: “Joy-A” – “dell” – “Ah more ay”). Our Italian name means “Joy of Love”.  We are a 96-acre vineyard, winery, wedding venue, and cabin rental facility nestled in the rolling hills of Rockingham County among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards. Born out of the owners’ love of family and wine, Gioia dell’Amore Cellars endeavors to share these passions in its romantic, rustic country setting where it aims to “Scatter Joy!” to its community and customers.
