Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as The Strokes\, John Prine\, Guy Clark\, Tom Petty\, and soul legends like Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding\, Dodson has crafted a distinctive Americana style—earning him comparisons to a “country Bill Withers.” From his humble beginnings playing for tips and tacos at a Taco Bell in King\, NC\, to performing at Nashville’s “The Stage on Broadway\,” recording in Muscle Shoals\, and becoming a festival favorite at Shakori Hills\, Dodson’s journey reflects a lifelong devotion to storytelling through song. His debut album\, Live at the West Salem Public House\, recorded by Doug Williams of EMR Recorders (The Avett Brothers\, The Wood Brothers)\, captures his signature ability to turn simple stories into hauntingly familiar reflections of the human experience. \n\n\n\nThe Rolling LunchBox is a Veteran owned and woman operated Mayodan based Food Truck. Katie and Jason provide sandwiches made quickly for your entire family. Back in 2016 when Katie was completing her business degree\, she was assigned a project to create a faux company. This project sparked her dream! At the time\, food trailers / trucks were not very common in our area. After a lot of research\, they placed the dream on the “someday list”. They launched their dream in the fall of 2024\, and have quickly become one of the most popular food trucks in the area. \n\n\n\nGioia dell’Amore Cellars (pronounced: “Joy-A” – “dell” – “Ah more ay”) invites you to savor the Joy of Love in every sip and every step. Find unique items for everyone on your list. \n\n\n\nThis is our annual Holiday Sip and Shop Event in the rustic pavilion at Gioia dell’Amore Cellars. Hosted by Purple Wagon Events\, the day is an annual affair our customers look forward to all year. Come on out and enjoy music\, food trucks\, drinks and of course CHRISTMAS SHOPPING from our local artists! From woodworking masterpieces\, to hand made kitchen items\, candles\, lotions\, scents\, homemade treats and decor\, there is something for everyone on your list! \n\n\n\nWe will be serving up Gioia dell’Amore wine\, including our holiday wine\, Glowing Ember. This is an all estate grown Chambourcin wine created in the Norwegian Glogg style. Notes of cinnamon\, ginger\, anise and dried orange highlight this sweet red wine. It is perfect for pairing with cranberry\, turkey\, ham\, dressing\, and of course pecan pie!
