A Taste of Germany at Gioia dell’Amore

Pack your appetite and a sense of adventure—this Saturday, we’re bringing a little taste of Germany to Gioia dell’Amore Cellars.

The tasting room will be open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, inviting you to slow down with handcrafted wines, German-inspired cuisine, and the warm hospitality that makes every visit feel like a getaway. Throughout the day, German Mike’s Food Truck will be serving authentic favorites like bratwurst, currywurst, schnitzel, and warm pretzels, while traditional German music fills the tasting room, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of gemütlichkeit—the German tradition of comfort, friendship, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

Throughout the afternoon, guests can explore our German-inspired wine pairing menu, thoughtfully created to complement German Mike’s authentic cuisine. From bratwurst paired with our off-dry Riesling to schnitzel alongside our bold Full Monte Montepulciano, each pairing celebrates the flavors and traditions of Germany with a Gioia twist. Prefer beer? We’ll also have a selection of domestic favorites and local craft brews ready to enjoy.

Before the winery opens, our Andiamo! Wine Tourism Club will gather from 10:00 to 11:00 am to dream about future adventures, including our exciting April 2027 Rhine River Wine Cruise through Germany. The club is free to join and welcomes anyone who shares a passion for wine, travel, and discovering the world one vineyard at a time.

Nestled on 96 acres of rolling hills in Mayodan, NC, our vineyard is a rustic escape where love lingers in the air and laughter dances among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards.
