The Almost Irish Band and Soulful Plate

Join us for live music with The Almost Irish Band and delicious food from The Soulful Plate Food Truck on Saturday, March 9th!

This will be a fun free concert event featuring crowd favorite, The Almost Irish Band! Let’s get St. Patrick’s Day going a little early with some great live Irish music in the tasting room and on the patio! The band mixes in some old time music, some folk, and occasionally even a sea shanty, a bluegrass number, or an original song.  The group also does a lot of “oldies,” which in this case means things like music from The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers, and many other artists that were enjoyed in the 50s, 60, and 70s. The band will play from 2:00 to 5:00.

We are pairing The Almost Irish Band with an inaugural visit from Soulful Plate Food Truck. Enjoy some great southern cooking from Soulful Plate featuring great menu items such as fried seafood and chicken with hearty sides. They will be serving from 1:00 to 5:00 so come out early and choose your favorite spot for lunch before the concert!

About Your Hosts

The Almost Irish Band is from Mount Airy NC.  They play Irish and other Celtic music.  They also do “oldies” such as Beatles songs and lots of other gems from past decades.  Both types of music have proven to be real crowd-pleasers.  

Soulful Plate Food Truck is a country cookin’ food truck serving great homestyle meals. Their menu includes fried seafood, chicken, porkchops and ribs (when available) paired with amazing sides such as baked beans, collard greens, seasoned fries, mac & cheese, and fried okra to name a few.

Gioia dell’Amore Cellars (pronounced “joy-a” “dell” “ah more ay”) is a 96-acre vineyard, winery, wedding venue, and cabin rental facility nestled in the rolling hills of Rockingham County among the vines of Autumn Creek Vineyards.
